Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers

Deb and I went to see Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers at Gruene Hall last night. It was quite a show. He's one of those artists that just pours his entire soul into the performance. They started playing about 10:30 and hadn't slowed down when we left a bit past midnight. I bet most of the audience(me included) knew most of the words. He had a lot of audience participation and it appeared that everyone was having a great time.

The Mother Truckers opened for them and put on one hell of a warm up show. They sung a blend of roots rock and old fashioned shit kicking country that really rocked the house. Their lead guitarist is amazing. Wow.

[update] Mark posted more about it here.  Roger played right up to 1am and I suspect he'd have played longer if he could.
